Rhonda Byrne is an Australian television writer and producer, best known for The Secret—a book and a film by the same name. By 2007 the book had miraculously sold more than 19 million copies, and the DVD had sold more than 2 million copies. The book is a worldwide best seller that is available in 47 languages. On 17 August 2010, The Power, which is a sequel to The Secret, was published as a hardcover edition and audio CD. Her intention to release these books is to bring joy to billions.
In the book she propagates the idea that “You are the Michelangelo of your own life. The David that you are sculpting is you.” The book urges readers to rid themselves of diseases through “harmonious thoughts” that can be generated by attracting love and expressing gratitude for what they want even before they get it!
Motivational speaker and writer Esther Hicks, also seconds Rhonda Byrne’s opinion in the book. “You are the only one who creates your reality. For no one else can think for you. No one else can do it. It is only you.”
In the book Byrne explains that while researching for the book she found that the world’s finest minds – great thinkers, artists, scientists, inventors, discoverers, and philosopher had all lived and believed the law of attraction.
Byrne has also produced Sensing Murder, a television series in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. In this show alleged psychics are asked to act as psychic detectives to help solve famous unsolved murder cases in each country.
